My equipment so far…

Here is an update of my equipment so far:

Analog Satellite Receivers

  1. Skardin MK-5000: Plain analog receiver, capable of switching with
    22kHz Toneburst
  2. NoName 12V analog Receiver: Came with the portable
    satellite kit.

Digital Receivers

  1. VU+ DUO: Currently my main system.

  9. DGStation CubeCafe: This is attached through a manual switch to the
    motorized antenna for it’s unlimited channel memory.
  10. Triple Dragon DBS-3000CNCIE: Also on my desk, but connected
    to the multi switch. Bought this one, because it features a Frequency
    Spectrum plug-in. Did not have the Satlook Digital NIT at that time.
  11. Elanvision EV-8000S: Currently not being used. Though this is a Linux
    based receiver, take note that it does not run Enigma.

  12. DBox1: The classic
    receiver featuring the amazing DVB2000 firmware by Uli.

  13. DBox2:
    Another fine receiver, which I use sometimes
    because of two plugin’s: SATFIND and MINITV. Excellent! It has Neutrino
    installed.
  14. Humax IRCI-5400: Not being used anymore, but kept for being my
    first digital receiver and being probably the most famous receiver.
  15. Humax PR-HD1000: My first HDTV receiver.
  16. Kaon KSC-E575
  17. Clarke-Tech 2100: This is the other receiver connected to the
    motorized dish, as it has the blind scan function, which is essential for
    feed hunting.
  18. Bose Zenega 101S CI: Modified with a harddisk and Zenslack, a Linux
    image featuring MMS, a multimedia player. In the living room on a CRT TV.
  19. Bose Zenega 101S CI: Modified with a harddisk and Zenslack, a Linux
    image featuring MMS, currently not being used.
  20. Galaxis Panta Rhei: Got this receiver as a present and made my first
    JTAG experiences with it, unlocking its Conax capabilities.
  21. Samsung DSR 9500 VIA CI: Nice receiver with similar
    functions as the Humax IRCI5400. Not being used presently.
  22. TechnoTrend TT-micro S200: Got this receiver for 20 Euro
    at eBay for being small and using 12V input (for my mobile kit). Currently
    being used to watch German FTA in the kitchen.

Measurement

  1. REX Digital Satellite Finder: not very useful, to tell the
    truth
  2. Spaun TP204 DiSEqC Monitor: used for DiSEqC diagnostics
  3. Emitor Satlook Mark III: Has
    a very fast analogue spectrum analyzer, which does not show dB values, but
    is great to find and tune satellites.

  4. Emitor Satlook Digital NIT:
    Bought a second hand Satlook
    Digital NIT at eBay after exchanging my first one for the Color version.

  5. Emitor Satlook Digital NIT Color:
    Exchanged my first Satlook Digital NIT
    for this one – it features the same functionality but has a colour LCD
    display and MPEG2 decoding.
  6. PREMIERE DVB-CT 01
    (OEM of KWS CT234):
    Handheld meter for DVB-C provided
    by Premiere (now Sky Germany) for customer support.
  7. ComSonics
    Window Lite Plus:
    Handheld
    Meter for CATV. Features bar scan and common measurements for analog CATV.
    Has audio output.
  8. Felec
    MC1-SAT:
    Features a real time analog spectrum analyzer and can display
    analog satellite transponders.
  9. SPECTRA VIEW by
    Waveline
    : This meter is for stationary use and will only display an
    analog spectrum on its composite video output. Ideal for satellite hunting
    with a motorized dish, but useless for any measurement.

  10. KWS AMA 210S with the

Mobile

  1. Technisat DigiDish 33 with DigiRotor: This is a nice system which
    can receive 19.2E, 13.0E, 5.0E and 30.0W in Portugal
  2. Portable Satellite Suitcase:
    Came with 33cm dish and 12V
    analogue receiver and I added Casio Mini LCD TV and a lot of cables, so I
    can use any hotel’s TV, as long as I have a window pointing to south
