The VMA Transport Stream Analyser (TSA) continues to evolve into a professional tool for in-depth broadcast and DVB analysis. The latest release introduces a DATA tab that opens the door to detailed inspection of transport stream contents beyond classical PSI/SI tables.
New functions in the DATA tab
- Hex View – low-level inspection of raw 188-byte TS packets, ideal for debugging unusual stream behaviour.

- Sections – parse and display DVB/MPEG-2 sections (PAT, PMT, SDT, NIT, BAT, etc.), including versioning and CRC verification.

- IP – detect and analyse IP-over-MPEG-TS (MPE/ULE), with protocol breakdown (UDP, RTP, HTTP, etc.).

- DSM-CC – support for DSM-CC object carousels (ETSI TS 102 812).

- HbbTV – analysis of HbbTV AIT signalling, application lifecycle control (AUTOSTART, PRESENT, KILL), and application descriptor parsing.

- Teletext – decode DVB teletext subtitling and information services, with full page navigation and G0 character set mapping.

- Stats – live PID statistics (bitrate, error counts, continuity counter errors, etc.) for monitoring stream quality.

Enhanced protocol support
- T2-MI (ETSI TS 102 773) – de-encapsulation and monitoring of DVB-T2 modulation interface streams.

- DVB-NIP (ETSI TS 103 711) – inspection of Network Independent Protocol encapsulation for IP delivery.

With these additions, VMA Transport Stream Analyser evolves into a true all-in-one DVB powerhouse — perfect for pushing the limits of R&D, broadcast innovation, and hardcore DX exploration.
