Having up-to-date transponder information is essential for satellite downlink operators, monitoring stations, broadcasters, and technical teams that depend on reliable reception data.
VMA Satellite Scan was developed to automate this process.
The software performs complete satellite scans, detects active transponders, compares them with previous scan results, and identifies newly found carriers. Each confirmed transponder is validated by lock and symbol-rate detection, avoiding false positives from simple spectrum peaks.

For every scan, VMA Satellite Scan can generate detailed reports and export updated transponder .ini files in a standard format, making the results easy to reuse in other DVB and satellite reception tools.
During the scan you can already see any new found transponder and the services it contains:

At the end of the scan, the tool provides two reports for all transponders or new transponders. This is a HTML report that can be easily uploaded to a web server and it provides detailed information:

The tool supports:
- automatic scanning of multiple configured satellites;
- horizontal and vertical polarity scans;
- FFT spectrum analysis with detected carrier peaks;
- blindscan validation of real transponders;
- detection of new transponders compared with previous scans;
- service detection using PAT, PMT and SDT analysis;
- generation of reports and updated
.inifiles; - optional progress view with processed satellites, confirmed transponders and discovered services.
This makes VMA Satellite Scan useful for keeping satellite databases current, checking changes on known orbital positions, and detecting new or temporary transmissions without manually scanning each satellite one by one.
